Fade-Out releases January 13, 2020!

About the book:

Eli

Rory Weston.
Independent.
Intelligent.
Gorgeous as hell.

She understands me in ways no woman ever has, but I’ve kept her at a distance because I knew she’d inevitably break my heart. And she did – the night she slept with another man. My mistake was falling in love, and it’s one I’ll never make again.

Rory

Eli Watts.
Smart.
Loyal.
And the most stubborn man I’ve ever met.

He’s a superstar who’s insecure when it comes to love. I’ve wanted him from the moment we met, but he’s always kept me at a distance. One night, he pushed me too far, and I slept with another man – making his worst fears a reality. It’s a mistake I’ll always regret, but it solidified the one thing I’ve known for years - Eli is the love of my life. I’ll do whatever it takes to prove my love is real, and this time I’m not letting him push me away.

Fade-Out is an Illusion Series novel. While you can enjoy it as an interconnected stand-alone story, it is much better when read as part of the series as a whole.

"Emotional, angsty and highly addictive. Prepare for ALL THE FEELS!" - Siobhan Davis, USA Today Bestselling Author

One night changed her life…

Bestselling author Amelia Greyson has grown up in the music industry and isn’t the slightest bit fazed by fame or celebrities. However, when she attends a Bastards and Dangerous concert with her best friend Belle, her world shifts on its axis.

Double trouble…

Sawyer and Noah Weston are the front men of BAD. They’re fraternal twins and sexy as sin. When they hear the author of The O Factor is in their green room, they’re intrigued. She’s just the person they need to write their farewell story. The brothers offer Amelia the opportunity of a lifetime, which she reluctantly accepts.

Three hearts…

Noah is sweet and considerate, working hard to make Amelia feel at home on the road. Unfortunately, the closer they get, the more obnoxious Sawyer becomes. Sawyer is arrogant and distant and he wants Amelia, even though she’s not his for the taking. Only during stolen moments does Sawyer show her who he really is.

Can Amelia maintain a safe distance from Sawyer and keep her heart intact? Or will she shatter Noah’s heart by giving hers to his brother instead?

Bexley,
You’re out of town, but our date is tomorrow. Adam came over tonight and asked me if I’d marry you. Typical random, out-of-the-blue Adam BS. It got me thinking, though, about you and me, and what we’re doing.
We’re taking a huge risk with our friendship, and I can’t help but think that means something greater than either of us are considering. Would we have jumped into this if we weren’t ready for more? After a night full of reflection, I can honestly tell you . . . I wouldn’t have. My feelings for you have been growing for the last ten years. I know we’re not there yet, not at that place in our relationship, or as the case may be, non-relationship since we’re still working through these dates. But I wanted you to know that someday, when the time is right, I will absolutely marry you. In fact, there’s nothing I’d like more.
After date seven, you have to make a choice. To keep seeing me or to move on and start seeing someone else. I’m hoping it will be to keep going, but maybe I’ll have a better understanding of what you want after the third date. After all, that seems to be the defining date in most of your dating cycles.
How about I make you a promise?
Don’t break my heart, and I will never break yours.

The band flip the tables on Belle!

Hey Guys, it’s Mel!

We’re getting closer to Encore, and I’m so excited for its release!

Today I found an ‘off the record’ interview that I wrote when the guys decided to flip the tables on Belle and interview her. We had a blast and Belle was such a good sport. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

Wyatt: I could have so much fun with this but I’m a nice guy, and I know the rest of my bandmates probably won’t go as easy on you. I’ll start off simple. Who’s your favorite band?

Belle: <with a devilish smile> Right now I’m totally into Walking on Cars.

Wyatt: Totally into doesn’t equal favorite… come on Dixson, spill it.

Belle: Fine, it’s you guys okay? And I know you already knew that – so much for you being a nice guy.

Wyatt: <shrugs> Sometimes it’s nice to have my ego stroked, especially from someone like you.

Belle tossed a pillow at Wyatt’s head, but he ducked, and it hit Darren instead.

Darren: You’re vicious, assault on an innocent drummer by pillow. Guess that makes it my turn. What’s your favorite sexual position?

Belle: You already know that answer.

Darren: They don’t.

Belle: Why do I get the feeling you all are going to want your egos stroked? My favorite position is anyone that Darren has me in at the time. Happy?

Darren: <eyes glazed over with lust> Immensely.

Belle: Jerk.

Darren: Your jerk.

Belle: <rolls eyes> For now.

Darren: <growls> For always.

Belle: <teases> We’ll see.

Sawyer: Okay before the sexual tension takes over the entire bus, I’ll go. I want to know what you really thought about Mel and Eli dating. No sugar coating.

Belle: <sadness flickers briefly in her gaze> Until Noah, Eli was the best thing that ever happened to Mel. He messed it up big time but what teenager hasn’t screwed up? It’s kinda hard to hold it against him anymore.

Noah: I’ll go easy on you Belle. If you could have any job, what would it be?

Belle: That’s easy – I’ve already got it. Working for Slammed, I’m basically my own boss. If you weren’t already aware, I’ve got a stellar reputation. Most days people call me when they want publicity. I rarely have to chase down a story. And getting to meet people I’ve admired and idolized for years, who ooze talent from their pores… hands down best job ever.

Noah: I’m pretty fond of your job too.

Belle: Oh yeah, how come?

Noah: Because it brought you two to us.

Belle: Mel, have I told you lately you need to marry this one? Scoop him up while you can because he’s extra swoon-worthy and kinda hot too.

Mel: I’ll keep it under advisement.

Noah: Only advisement?

Mel: Well yeah, I have to weigh my options you know.

Belle: That’s so true. Options are good to have.

Darren: Really? And what options do you have Belle?

Belle: We’re not talking about me, we’re talking about Mel. But if we were talking about me, my options include - in a bed, up against the wall, down on my knees, across the table, pretty much any way you want to take me.

Darren: Damn, I love that answer.

Sawyer: What options do you have Mel? Are they similar to Belle’s?

Belle: Stop Sawyer, you’re making her blush. Mel’s options are limitless.

Noah: Limitless as to where she wants to get married and when absolutely. Sexual positions, the possibilities are endless. But as to who she marries, and who’s in those positions with her? Well I’m afraid that’s already been decided, and he doesn’t like to share.

Darren: I like sharing.

Belle: Stop it. This isn’t about you anymore. But for the record, I think sharing could be fun, let’s table that discussion for later though.

Sawyer: Well, Darren and I like to share together, and we do it well. So, think about that when you bring that discussion back up.

Darren: Oh no… not this time.

Belle: Why not? I’m intrigued.

Mel: Enough! <laughing> You guys are too much. This was supposed to be Belle’s interview, and you’re all just a bunch of perverts. Including you Belle, have you ever heard of TMI?

Belle: There’s no such thing between friends.

And that you guys, is how the interview ended. Damn, I miss those days and that tour, but it feels so good to share these memories with you all. Instead of locking memories in a bottle, I think we should share them more often, with the people around us. For me personally, sharing memories is like letting the light shine in on a dark day. At least, if they’re good memories – no one likes to share the bad ones.

That’s all for now, but I’ll be back next week with more!

Live today, like there’s no tomorrow!

It's time for an ENCORE teaser!

Hey Guys, it’s Mel again!

So here's the thing, Dee is awesome and she's been letting me read Encore as she writes it. And guys, it's so good. So good that I completely forgot to look through all my files to find an old blog post of Belle's to share with you this week.

Because I don't have a flashback for you, Dee has been kind enough to let me share a teaser from Encore with you this week. But don't worry, next week I'll be back with more throwbacks!

XoXo,

Mel

Sawyer spills all the secrets!

Hey Guys, it’s Mel!

The past few weeks I’ve talked about most of my friends except Sawyer. Today I want to change that – with his permission of course because we all know how he can be.

But first, before I do that, I wanted to remind you all that Encore is releasing soon. If I have any blogger friends who are reading this, Dee and I would LOVE your help with this release. If you’d like to sign up for the cover reveal or for the chance at an ARC for review, please see the links below.

Now back to Sawyer, this is an off the record interview that Belle had recorded. Relax, she wasn’t being sneaky. Their regular interview just veered a bit off course, and she forgot to stop recording. I’m glad, or else I would have never been able to hear it myself or share it with you all.

Belle: Now that we’re off the record, tell me all the nitty-gritty.

Sawyer: What exactly do you want to know?

Belle: Everything. Why groupies? How often? Is there anyone serious in your life? Do you ever picture yourself settling down?

Sawyer: <clears throat> You’re the devil.

Belle: That’s news hotshot?

Sawyer: <laughing> Nope, just thought I’d remind you. Look, here’s the deal. Until recently I’ve never had the desire to settle down.

Belle: So, there is someone…

Sawyer: No, there isn’t. But watching my bandmates, all start planning the rest of their lives has given me something to think about. I’ve always wanted kids but have never been sold on the idea of marriage. Not that I’m against it, and not to sound full of myself, but given who we are it’s one of those things I thought I’d have to compromise on. How do you become famous and still find someone who loves you for you, and not for your fame and fortune?

Belle: And your opinion on that has changed?

Sawyer: Not changed so much as shifted. I think the best love is born from friendship. So maybe, when this is all over, I’ll eventually have a friend who shows me there could be the possibility of more waiting in the wings.

Belle: And until then, groupies?

Sawyer: This is going to sound bad, but it’s also true. People have sexual needs and desires. I’m only speaking for myself here – this isn’t about the rest of the band. When I’m on the road, groupies serve a purpose. Pretty girls and sometimes guys offer themselves up. Meeting a woman who is upfront about her needs and wants is attractive. In a groupie situation, there are no misunderstandings. They want you for your public persona and the bold ones, the ones who make it to my hotel room, are the ones who are upfront with their desires. But to be clear, I’m upfront with them as well.

Belle: How so?

Sawyer: Let’s just say I have my own rules. I never want someone to feel slighted. I’m upfront with the fact it will be a one-night stand, that there are no sleepovers, condoms are mandatory, things like that.

Belle: I can respect that. Now since we’re off the record and we’re being candid and getting to know each other, I’m going to be bold and ask you what I really want to know.

Sawyer: <groans loudly> I reserve the right to remain silent.

Belle: <laughs> Not part of our deal. What is the deal with your feelings for Amelia? And don’t give me the whole – she’s into my brother answer. I want the truth.

Sawyer: The truth is we’re becoming friends.

Belle: I’ve seen the looks you give her, the casual touches that linger a second too long. It’s more than friendship.

Sawyer: It will never be more than friendship. My brother is falling hard for her. His happiness is my priority.

Belle: If Noah walked away from her tomorrow and decided he found the love of his life elsewhere, what would you do?

Sawyer: <In a voice so low the recorder barely picks it up> In that exact instance, and onlythat instance, I’d make her mine and never be foolish enough to let her go.

Belle: And what about now? How do you navigate around those feelings?

Sawyer: That’s easy, we’ve become friends, but you already know this Belle, so what exactly is it you’re fishing for?

Belle: Not fishing, just curious. Is Mel the reason you’ve changed your view on women and settling down? The real reason? Not your rehearsed media answer.

Sawyer: I would never talk to the media about this, but you and I are becoming friends, so I’m trying to let my guard down a bit. In short, the answer to that question is yes. Not because I’m planning on swooping in and trying to steal Princess from Noah, but because I see what they’re building and how solid their foundation is because of their friendship. I’d also watched it happen with Wyatt and Anna, but they’re one in a million or so I thought. High school sweethearts and still in love all these years later. But now, I see they also laid that same foundation of friendship and built upon on it.

Belle: Aren’t you and Mel becoming friends?

Sawyer: Some of the best, which is good because if Noah has his way, one day, she’ll be my sister in law.

Belle: How do you feel about that?

Sawyer: I’m happy for both of them.

Belle: That’s all?

Sawyer: That’s all it can be Belle.

After that, the recorder clicked off. Sawyer said Belle realized she pushed too hard and they called it a day. I’m surprised he let her get that far into his head so early on into their new friendship. I probably shouldn’t be – Sawyer and Belle are both one of a kind.

That’s all for now! I’ll be back next week for more Illusion Series fun!

XoXo,

Mel

The countdown is on - only 2 months until ENCORE's release!

Hey Guys, it’s Mel, and it’s that time of week again!

I’ve talked a lot about my friends lately, and I guess that’s to be expected since they’re also my family. The older I seem to get, the more I cherish the friends I have and hold them close to my heart.

Wyatt and Anna are two of my best friends. They’re happily married and so full of love, not only for each other, but for everyone around them. A few years ago, I lost two people very near and dear to my heart. I was lost in a way I can’t even begin to describe. If you’ve read the Illusion Series, you watched it all unfold, and you know how hard it was. One thing you may not have seen was how Anna seamlessly stepped in and became one of my best friends while never stepping on the gaping hole in my heart. She didn’t have to, she was suffering a loss of her own, and so was Wyatt. In a way, I guess that’s what brought us even closer together. Keep reading, and you’ll understand.

I’d only recently dipped my toes back into the world of the living. After having spent weeks secluded in my room and mourning my losses, it felt strange to be enjoying a cup of coffee and gazing out at the ocean. Strange in the fact that I was still here and given this moment when other people I loved, no longer were. I felt guilty, but for the first time in weeks the beauty of the moment won out over my guilt. It was a flashing red light to my soul that it was the first step in moving on and that was the last thing I wanted to do. Even if it was necessary.

“Mind if I take a seat?” Anna’s softly spoken words were barely loud enough to carry over the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

“Of course not,” I reply, wondering how it is she chose this moment to visit.

“It’s a beautiful day, I’m happy to see you outside enjoying it.”

“Well, I’m outside at least.” With a cautious glance her way I shade my eyes with my hand because I forgot my sunglasses in the house. “Why are you here? Sorry, that sounded rude, it’s just…early.”

“It’s a fair question. Wyatt didn’t sleep well last night. He doesn’t sleep well most nights but last night was especially bad. He took a sleeping pill around four in the morning and is finally resting. So I thought, well I figured, why not come over and check in on you guys?”

I sip my coffee and turn my attention back to the water wondering who sent her out here to check on me.

“They’re all still sleeping inside just in case you were wondering. I noticed your door was open and thought maybe you’d be here and…”

“And what Anna?” Immediately I feel bad for snapping at her, and when she rests her hand on my shoulder, I feel even worse. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap at you.”

“It’s okay, Wyatt has been doing it lately too. I can’t pretend to know how it feels to be you right now. Hell, my own husband can barely talk to me these days. My best friend is holding his entire family together while trying not to fall apart and you… I guess I thought maybe you might like a friend. I mean don’t get your hopes up or anything I’m not great when it comes to friendships of the female persuasion. I’ve had the same four male best friends since junior high school but you’re important to them, and that makes you important to me.”

As I dig my toes into the sand, I think about her words, or really, I’m trying to read between them. Does she want this or does she feel obligated? I mean, we’ve gotten along from day one, so this shouldn’t be a sympathy friendship. I don’t think…

“Are you sure you know what you’re asking? I’m sort of a mess these days, and if anything this friendship may seem a bit one-sided until I’m not anymore.”

Anna laughs softly, “Haven’t you noticed we’re all a mess these days? Adding one more to the bunch isn’t going to hurt. Besides, I think this will help Wyatt too. He’s wanted to come by and talk to you but ever since he watched his video he’s been struggling. I know he loves me, but I also get the feeling he thinks it might be inappropriate for him to come by and check in on you as often as he wants to.”

With a slight shake of my head, I wipe a stray tear from my eye. “The night I met Wyatt I was enamored with how much love he had for you. He was reading a book that you wanted him to read, begged a stranger to talk to his wife because he knew it would make her happy, and smiled like there was nothing in the world that could ever dim it when he talked about your wedding. That night Wyatt made me believe that rock stars could be faithful. You’re a lucky woman Anna.”

“Thank you for telling me that.” I nod and a few minutes of silence pass before she breaks it. “So, is that a no on the friendship?”

“I’ve considered you a friend all along Anna.”

She draws in the sand with a stick she found as she answers. “I know, but we’ve also had a strange mix of a working relationship as well. Now that the band is done touring and things are different I wanted to be sure it would be okay to talk still. Sometimes, especially lately, I feel sort of alone and I know it’s not your problem, but I feel like opening up to Sawyer about all of this would just be a burden on him you know?”

If anyone understands that it’s me, especially since he’s loaded down with my burdens already. “I’d like to be friends, real friends. I’m not sure if I’ll be a good one, but I’ll try. This seems to be the week for trying new things and accepting the things I can’t change. I’d like to be there for you though, maybe it can help me get my mind off myself so much.”

Her shoulder pushes against mine “Yeah Mel, stop being so selfish. I’ve got a whole list of things I can talk to you about to keep your focus all on me for a bit. And since Wyatt is going to sleep away the day, there’s no time like the present. First thing’s first, I’m starving. Come to breakfast with me? Please?”

Anna’s eyes are sparkling with happiness. Even if I’m not looking forward to the idea of going out, I know she needs someone now just as much as I do.

“Sure, I could eat something.”

That was the day I gave extra room in my heart to Anna, and I’ve been thankful to her ever since for helping this girl work her way back into the light. Sometimes the darkness around us can be all-consuming, but if you pause long enough and take a look around, you will find light somewhere - even if, at first, it’s dim.

That’s all for this week! Only eight more weeks until Encore releases and then Dee is going to share Jordan, Darren, and Eli’s stories with us and I can’t wait to read them.

XoXo,

Mel

I’ve been thinking a lot about Darren and Belle this week. So, I thought it would be fun to share a flashback about the two of them. I hope you enjoy it!

The buses were fueling up, and it was my day to interview Darren. I always look forward to spending time with each of the guys one on one and getting to know them better, but since Darren and Belle are getting closer, I wanted to push a bit further with him today and see what I could find out.

“I miss you,” I heard him say as I stepped onto the bus. He was out of my eyeline, and I wasn’t sure if I should interrupt him or not.

“I miss you, too,” Belle replied, and it brought a smile to my face. For someone who avoids feelings for men like the plague, Belle sure lays them all out for Darren to see.

I decided I better make my presence known before they decided to get sexual. “Hey!” I called out, “Are you ready for your interview?”

“Sure, one second Mel,” Darren answered while I made myself comfortable in one of the plush leather chairs. “I gotta go, babe; I’ll talk to you later. We’re still on for tonight right?”

“I wouldn’t miss it. Don’t keep my girl waiting. Mwah.” Did she just blow him a kiss? That is so sweet and so unlike Belle.

Darren plops down in the chair across from me with a goofy smile on his face. “Everything good?”

“Yeah,” he answers, still smiling. “Everything is great. I was talking to your girl.”

“Don’t you mean your girl?” I counter, hopping into the very discussion I was hoping to have with him.

“We’re cool.” He’s suddenly aloof.

“Is that all you want to be? I’m pretty sure I just heard Belle blow you a kiss.”

A slight blush creeps into his cheeks. “That doesn’t mean anything… wait does it?”

I’m amused and decide to let this play out. “That depends, do you want it to? You’ve got to give me something to work with here Darren. I’m not going to out Belle’s secrets without some reciprocation.”

“Come on Mel, you already know I like her.”

“True,” I reply, watching as he taps his fingers against the table next to him. I’ve noticed it’s a nervous habit of his. “But what I want to know is could you love her?”

When he looks up at me, there’s a definite shift in the room. He sits up straighter, and his eyes are suddenly brighter. “Have you ever made plans for your life and then realized they don’t make sense anymore? No, that’s not right…it’s more like they’re suddenly incomplete.”

He’s lost me completely. “I’m not sure – explain.”

“My dream trip is to see the seven wonders of the world. It always has been. It’s the one thing I’m looking forward to most once we’re done touring. I’ve always thought I would bum around the world, and finally be able to truly enjoy all the cities, landmarks, and history I’ve never been able to appreciate while we’re touring.”

“That sounds fun.”

He stops tapping and crosses his leg over his knee. “Yeah, I thought so too. But ever since I met Belle, I can’t think about the trip anymore without her being a part of it. When I imagine myself going alone, I almost don’t even want to do it. Suddenly, it only sounds appealing if she’s there with me. What does that mean?”

I reach over and pat his hand. “I think you know and I think she feels the same way.”

“You think I love her? I’ve never… I’ve never been in love before.” He hangs his head like it’s something he should be ashamed of.

“Hey, Darren, look at me please.” When he does I flash what I hope is a reassuring smile. “That’s not a bad thing. I’ve only been in love once, and I was a teenager then. I imagine loving someone now would feel even better.”

He grumbles, “Or worse.”

“Why worse?”

“Because we’re on the road and she’s back in California. Even if it is love, or could be love, how are we supposed to explore it when she’s there, and I’m everywhere?”

He’s got it bad. I’d almost laugh if he weren’t so serious.

“You do live in a technological dream era. Keep doing what you’re doing. Belle may not be here for you to touch physically but you see her every day, you talk all the time, I don’t even want to know how often you sext and have video sex. Think of all the war veteran’s who had just met their wives before shipping out and fell in love. They only kept in contact through letters, and it was probably months in between them. If those couples could manage, you and Belle can find your way.”

“You’ve got a point.”

“Of course I do, and I’ll give you some inside information as well. Belle is love shy; she doesn’t like to make declarations until she knows. But she’s showing you signs I haven’t seen her show, anyone, maybe ever.”

“Really?” he asks, smiling again.

“Really. You don’t have to define anything yet; love is a marathon, not a race.”

“Good point. Thanks, Mel. I owe you one.”

“You don’t owe me anything, just make Belle happy.”

“There’s nothing more I’d rather do.”

That was a good day and considering all the things that came our way after that both good and bad. I feel blessed to have such a happy memory to look back on.

That’s all for now. See you all next week!

Mel

A nostalgic throwback from Mel

Hey Guys – it’s Mel again.

I love these newsletter takeovers but to be honest, I almost skipped this week. I guess I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic- but instead of wallowing in my feelings I thought I’d share something you with you all that I’ve never told anyone. It’s about Noah.

Do you remember when I told him Eli was going to their gig at Just an Illusion? He wasn’t very happy about it or with me for fighting for Eli’s right to go. I still stand by my decision – it was important for me and Eli to mend our bridges, after all, he’s my best friend. And who could have guessed how much I would come to rely on and need Eli, even all these years later?

Anyway, back to the story. The morning of the show Noah and I slept in. I woke up in desperate need of the restroom. I heard the water running, so I popped out into the hall to use the guest bathroom, and when I came back in, I could hear Noah singing in the shower. It was faint since the door was closed but I wanted to hear more so I cracked the door open with the intention of crawling back into bed and letting his voice carry me back to sleep.

When I heard the words he was singing, I stopped in my tracks. Noah was singing Instead, by Ryan Amador, and I almost lost it. For the first time ever, I didn’t want to hear Noah sing. I couldn’t stand hearing the pain and anguish his voice carried, and suddenly I felt like I was intruding on a private moment. As delicately as possible I closed the door and crawled back into bed. I was exhausted from the night before, and even though my head was spinning, I fell back into a fitful sleep.

Then Noah woke me from my nap with the brightest smile and the sweetest kiss as if he hadn’t been upset just a short while before. In that moment, all of my worries melted away. I didn’t need Eli to point out to me Noah was the one for me that night, even though it helped me gain the courage to tell Noah what I already knew – I was his.

I hate knowing that Noah ever felt that kind of insecurity and I never told him I overheard him that day. Some secrets are best kept to ourselves, and I’m glad I never spilled that one. Our lives have taken so many twists and turns that I would hate for him to know I saw him in a moment of weakness. Or for him to know that through his transparency, I found the courage to love him for the rest of my life. The two things don’t seem like they should go hand in hand, do they?

I’m not sure why I decided to tell you this – maybe I’m hormonal – or maybe it’s because Noah Weston is one of greatest people, I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I could talk to you about Noah for days on end, but I could also do the same about Sawyer. But you guys know that already – and if you don’t… well, check out the links below and grab the box set of our story for only $3.99 before the price goes up on the 10th.

I’ll be back next week to share some more stories with you! If there’s something you specifically want to know, reply to this email, and I’ll see if I can make it happen.

All my love,

Mel

It's time for another flashback from Mel!

Hi Guys!

It’s Thursday, which means it’s Mel, and I’m taking over Dee’s newsletter again. It just so happens I’ve got some exciting news to share with you, too.

Did you know Dee released a surprise boxed set of the original Illusion Series Trilogy? She’s sneaky that one, I’ll tell you.

I’m going to reach out to some of my friends and see if they want to do a buddy read. With Encore coming out in October, it’s the perfect time to get a re-read in while the price is right. And… speaking of buddies and books, I found an old blog post of Belle’s I wanted to share with you all. Belle has always been not only my BFF but my biggest fan as well.

Slammers!

It’s your girl Belle, and I just got home from another exciting weekend with BAD and my girl Mel.

Today, I’m going to get a bit serious for a minute. Amelia Greyson has been my best friend since we were in elementary school. There isn’t anyone I love or trust more than her. Over the weekend she was having a bit of a crisis. I’m sharing this story with her permission.

Mel is overwhelmed in the best kind of way. She’s on tour with one of the biggest bands in the world, she’s doing her book tour, and she’s writing BAD’s farewell story. It’s a lot to take in and work through. Plus, let’s be real – BAD couldn’t have better fans, and I think that’s what has Mel a bit stumped.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen her at the shows, but every night she’s there taking pics of our guys and YOU. That’s right, you guys have also been her focus. Mel has been so touched by the outpouring of love from you guys she’s stumped. They’ve only been on the road a few weeks, and I swear she already has thousands of photos of fans. From the parking lot shots of all the fans who couldn’t get tickets but want to be there in solidarity, to the ones leaving gifts inside the venues, to after show shots of tears and cheers.

I think that’s where you all can help her. Amelia feels the biggest part of BAD’s story right now is you. They provide the music, but you all provide the love. Don’t be surprised to see yourself in BAD’s story because each and every one of you has stolen a bit of Amelia’s heart.

Now here is how you can help. Comment on this post and let Mel know what else you’d like to see in the book. She’s so overwhelmed with you all she’s having a hard time focusing on where to begin. Do you want to know more about their families? How they deal with haters? What their process is as far as making an album? If you could know one thing about Bastards and Dangerous what would it be?

Mel is going to go through all the responses to help her understand what the readers want to see from her book. There are no right or wrong answers but get creative because that’s when things get fun.

That’s all for now!

Don’t forget – Live today like there’s no tomorrow!

Xs and Os,

Belle

It's #TBT and I have an embarrassing story for you!

Hey Guys, it’s Mel again!

I’ve got an embarrassing #TBT for you guys today. Last week I was talking to Dee about audiobooks and how excited I am to hear The Illusion Series on audio. In case you didn’t realize they’re all out and you can find them at the following retailers.

Just an Illusion - Side A
Tantor Audio - Audible - Google Play

Just an Illusion - The B Side
Tantor Audio - Audible - Google Play

Just an Illusion - EP
Tantor Audio - Audible - Google Play

Okay back to my embarrassing story. It wasn’t too long after Noah, and I started dating. To give you an idea of the setting, I was on the workout bus using the treadmill. My earbuds were in, and I was enjoying some alone time … until the guys showed up.

All four of the guys walk onto the bus just as I’ve slowed to a walk. I wave to them and keep walking, completely engrossed in my book, and it’s right at a steamy part, my favorite kind.

He pulls me to my feet, and in one swift motion his mouth covers mine. It catches me off guard, but it feels so damn good. My body is now putty in his arms. When I whimper in pleasure, my lips part, and his tongue finds mine. Tingles flood my senses from head to toe as our tongues engage in the most carnal of dances.

Something is wrong with the volume. I pick up my phone just as Noah walks toward me with a huge smile and plucks my earplug out of my ear. That’s when I notice they’re all grinning at me and the audio is suddenly louder.

“Declan.” I’m gasping for air as his lips leave mine, until he has me moaning when he wraps my hair around his fist. Pulling my head back, he lowers his mouth to my neck. The edges of his teeth scrape against my throat, lighting me on fire. When they sink into my skin, I’m soaring. Overwhelming sensations flood each of my senses as the swipe of his tongue against my tender skin soothes the burn. Our lips meet again as he releases my hair. This kiss is slower, decadent, and filled with want. Within minutes, the tenderness ignites a deeper passion between us, each of us grasping at the other and moaning our mutual desire.

When he releases me, he shoots me a dazzling smile. “You’re the only one I want, Holly Ryan. Don’t you ever forget it.”

“Sorry Mel,” Noah reaches for my phone apologetically and pauses my book. I’m so embarrassed, not because of the content but because I can only imagine what they must be thinking right now. They’re going to tease me for days. “I switched the Bluetooth to your phone thinking we could listen to more of your playlist. Had I known you were listening to…”

“Mommy porn.” Sawyer tosses out with a sarcastic snort, cutting Noah off.

“Hot Mommy porn.” Darren corrects, licking his lips.

“It’s not mommy porn! And it’s degrading that you’re calling it that. It’s a romance novel, a second chance love story to be specific.” I snap back. I swear Sawyer Weston can fire me up faster than anyone.

“Dude,” Wyatt says, shaking his head. “If Anna and Sam heard you calling it Mommy Porn they’d kick your asses.”

“Thank you, Wyatt,” I reply, hoping my cheeks aren’t as red as they feel.

“Whatever you want to call it, it’s getting you hot and bothered. It’s a nice look on you Princess.”

“Sawyer…” Noah begins, but Sawyer throws his hands up in the air in surrender.

“I’m just saying maybe you ought to go take your girl and recreate some of that heat she was listening to instead of sitting here debating the difference between Mommy Porn and Romance.”

Noah’s eyes sparkle mischievously “He’s got a point, want to go fool around? Or would you rather B.O.B. finish you off?”

The three guys snicker while I shake my head. “All I was trying to do was listen to a book and get in a workout. You know for a bunch of Rockstars, I’d think you’d had enough sex in your life that hearing an audiobook wouldn’t make you revert to teenage boy status.”

“Aww Mel,” Darren says, as he begins his bicep curls. “You should know that the teenage boy inside every man is what helps keep us young and virile.”

“Virile? That should be on the never use word list along with moist and lover.” I reply.

“If we couldn’t say lover, The Spice Girls would lose their best song.” Wyatt points out.

“Them and about a thousand other artists,” Sawyer grumbles as he switches the music to his playlist.

Noah leans in close and whispers in my ear. “So, was that a no on the fooling around?”

I want to tell him no out of principle, but I’m a sucker for alone time whenever we can get it. “They’re already going to make fun of me for days, might as well give them more fuel for the fire. Let’s go.”

“Hey Mel,” Wyatt calls out, “Before you go, what book are you listening to? I think I want to send it to Anna.”

“The Evolution of Us, by D. Kelly but don’t bother Wyatt, Anna is the one who sent it to me.”

I miss our time on the bus so much! We still have lots of fun together, but we’re older now, and it’s not the same as being on the road.

That’s all for this week, but if you haven’t read The Evolution of Us, yet, and love second chance romances, you can pick it up at one of the retailers below.

Xs and Os,

Mel

An unreleased blog post from Belle!

Hey Guys! It's Mel again!

I had so much fun taking over Dee’s blog that the two of us came to an understanding, and I’m going to be doing it more often.

I’ve been scrolling through old blog posts of Belle’s while doing some book research and found one that is a classic throwback. This post was never put up on her blog which makes it all the more fun.

Belle wrote this post the first night we met Bastards and Dangerous or BAD as most of you know them. When she showed it to me, we laughed until we cried. It wasn’t blog appropriate for Slammed, but it was a great moment between friends and Dee agrees we should share it with all of you.

Slammers!

It’s your girl Belle, and do I have news for you! The BAD concert tonight was off the hook, but that wasn’t even the best part of the night – nope, not even close. Are you sitting down? No? You should be – I’ll wait…

Now that I have your attention – I think we met our future husbands tonight.

Yes, I said we and no you didn’t read that wrong. Let me explain. Tonight my best friend Mel and I, met Bastards and Dangerous. Seriously, it totally happened. I checked off a legit bucket list item or two 😉.

Now, don’t get it twisted – no one is rushing to the altar just yet. I am happily single, but when someone rocks your world in the way no one ever has before, you start thinking crazy things. And, since I’m crazier than most, it’s only natural that I’d think ahead to securing that D and making it mine for life, right? It’s only coincidence that the owner of the D that rocked my world also goes by a name that starts with D.

All kidding aside, I had a fun night with a fun guy, but it will take a lot more than rock star status and sweet moves between the sheets to give up my single woman card in exchange for a ball and chain.

But – let me tell you about those Weston men for a minute. It’s true what they say, Noah and Sawyer Weston are complete opposites – except when it comes to who they’re attracted to. Neither of these men could take their eyes off my girl Mel. Watching Noah flash shy smiles as he laced their fingers together to hold hands would make even the biggest disbeliever in love say aww…

Then there’s Sawyer, can someone get me a fan, please? I’m still steaming in places where it’s probably not appropriate but hot damn this man makes me want to sin in all the best ways. He’s got the hots for my girl, too. All that sexual tension you read about in those romance novels is nothing compared to the sparks between them.

It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds now that Mel is going on tour with BAD for the next year. That’s right Slammers; you heard it here first. Amelia Greyson is hitting the road with Bastards and Dangerous and after what I witnessed tonight that’s going to make for a very interesting tour.

That’s all for now!

Don’t forget, live today like there’s no tomorrow!

Mel has some Illusion news for you!

Hey Guys, it’s me, Mel!

Over the next couple of months Dee is going to send out some fun Illusion Series exclusive content, interviews, etc. just for you guys. I’m so excited to help her out with this project in preparation for the next book in the series.

Speaking of books – here is some information I know you’ve all been waiting for. The following is Dee’s upcoming release schedule. Of course, this could change because we all know sometimes life gets in the way but I’m excited to have a guideline!

I’m so excited I feel a bit like Belle here. All of my favorite guys are getting their own books! I know that October seems so far away but summer always goes by fast and it will be Halloween before we know it.

In the meantime, if you all would like a great read to tide you over – my girl Siobhan Davis just released Incognito and Dee, and I did a buddy read on it. This book is good you guys. I mean really - you can’t go wrong with a pop star in hiding, can you? It’s got everything – excitement, romance, suspense, and for a limited time, it’s only 99 cents.

Check out the details below and if you read it – definitely let me know what you think!

My husband is waiting for me, so I have to run, but maybe I’ll come back and take over Dee’s newsletter again soon. This has been so much fun.

XoXo,

Mel
